Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.
I liked the community. It was safe and friendly. Far away from the maddening crowds! I loved the sound of the waves pounding on the rocks - dramatic. The sunsets. A real part of Jamaica. The tranquility. The flora and fauna - the wildlife according to my 8 yo grandson (on a video call) - Birds, butterflies, frogs, lizards, and other species and plants. The geology of the sea rocks looks fascinating with imprinted fossils on the exposed rocks.
Super lovely well-thought of way of making use of the island's materials while keeping it super comfortable for usual standards of European hostel styles. Sue is always renovating and improving the place, and it's already super wonderful. Very relaxing spot, close to the water (can't swim though but can enjoy some really nice breeze).
