Nice hostel, had it all for myself which was a bit eerie but no surprise that time of the year. Bedrooms were okay, bit squeeky but else. Community room was nice and spacious, very big kitchen. The location is also nice, a lovely village with all you need. Visit the Whisky castle if you like whisky

Budget travelers know there's no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: Save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a little more.

Great location for a cross Cairngorms trip. Room was pretty basic- on the third floor so lots of stairs to lug the suitcase up but very spacious. Great atmosphere in the bar and friendly staff.

Great location. Very cosy and comfortable room and bed. A nice touch was having fresh milk in the room for tea! Dianne was very welcoming and informative.

A fantastic and well equipped hostel which had plenty of space for our large family holiday (8 adults/8 children). The hostel was cleaned to a really high standard and was lovely and warm within a few minutes of turning up the radiators. While we didn't meet our host due to it being a community run hostel, all the information about our check in was provided well in advance to ensure a seamless arrival and check out. We will definitely consider booking again when we are next exploring the Highlands!

The hostel is in the village and you have easy access to walks in the forest as well as to restaurants and a local supermarket/post office. The kitchen in the hostel is huge and very clean. You can easily make your own meals if you wish.
