    Breakfast is OK, what makes this a good stay are the the hosts Lorna og Karl which are very friendly helpful and service minded. The facilities are very good, one of the best youth hostels we have tried. the location is beautiful and a good central location for the island.

    The hosts are very nice and helpful. The location on loch Indaal is superb. Dining hall and lodge are perfect; and very well maintained. Pot Charlotte restaurants were full when we arrived, as I did not book in advance, (even though I was warned to do so by the Youth Hostel) but hosts helped !

    It's a youth hostel so you can't expect 5* facilities, but the place was clean and the staff was very pleasant and helpful (which is very useful on your first visit to Islay)

    This was yet the best hostel I've ever experienced. There were comfortable, clean and softy beds, completely arranged kitchen, lounge with desk games and TV, free parking. And on top of it very kind personnel.

    I’ve had mixed luck with youth hostels in the past, but this was very good and certainly a comfortable experience. Friendly and helpful staff who went out of their way to assist, especially with additional difficulties caused by COVID. All the facilities you need are there, properly cleaned and in good working order.

    Firstly this is a Youth Hostel, not a hotel so don’t expect anything fancy. That said the hostel has been recently refurbished and is spotlessly clean. The comfy beds have lights and USB chargers and the individual showers are superb. Great drying room too. Amazing location and, best of all, a super efficient friendly helpful hostel manager.
