Kick Ass Grassmarket (18+) is conveniently located in the centre of Edinburgh, and offers a shared lounge, free WiFi and a bar. This 4-star hostel offers a shared kitchen and a 24-hour front desk.

It was right near Edinburgh castle and the Royal mile so I could walk everywhere. It was kept really clean, every time I went to the bathroom throughout the day the share bathrooms had been cleaned recently. And it is really big and well well maintained and good storage lockers in the share dorms. I really liked it.

Staff were amazing food was great and even a month later I'm still thinking of that mattress in the bedroom. The Adamson Hotel was absolutely fantastic from top to bottom cleanliness was amazing staff were beyond helpful and the food at the restaurant bit was brilliant. Coming down from Inverness I'm not grudging the bar prices either since the pints were near 2 pound cheaper than at home 🤣. Will absolutely be staying here again.
