Facilities were incredible and so was the food which was very reasonably priced for a hotel.

The kindest people working in this place and their service was something I couldn’t recommend enough. I had a medical emergency while in the hostel and they all helped me and gave me all the help I needed. I have then in my heart for life :)

Very nice hosts and staff and also really lovely dogs. Vicki prepares great meals for dinner and some days she and Toni play good electronic music at the bar, which is placed on a pirate ship. We loved the many great paintings and details like a canon on the ship.
Besides, the kitchen was well equipped and clean and it was nice to have direct access to the river to cool down. We had a great time at the hostel, so that we extended our stay.
Boasting a restaurant, Magdalena Beach House is set in the sidewalk in Los Cocos. and also provides a bar and a garden. Guests can enjoy ocean and garden views.

We had a lovely overnight stay at Magdalena.
The room was small but comfortable, and although there wasn’t any air conditioning the fan was powerful enough to cool there air enough to sleep well. The mosquito netting worked perfect against the constant presence of mossies.
We couldn’t get the wifi to work in the room but in the sitting area of reception it was very quick.
Breakfast was delicious with a choice of Colombian, granola or pancakes.
The availability to constantly fill up your water bottles with fresh drinking water was a welcome extra.
In the comments from others they have put the short walk off the main road to the accommodation as a negative but I think it was a positive as the main road is so busy and huge trucks go along all hours of the day and night. Being a couple hundred metres back means it is so much quieter than the other accomm around.
We loved the walk along Palomino Beach which is just across the road too.
La Ponderosa Reserve features a garden, private beach area, a restaurant and bar in Buritaca. The accommodation offers evening entertainment and free WiFi.

Amazing location, we have been travelling for 8 months and this has been our favourite hostel. We met great people here, the staff were great and the activities all fun. The food was also some of the best we have had in our whole trip.

Amazing location close to tyrona, other waterfalls and a beach. Hostel is more like a hotel but with a really good social atmosphere. Staff are really helpful, food is 10/10 and drinks service to the pool is brilliant.

Loved our stay at Finca Lorena. It is in a very dreamy spot in the middle of nature, ideal to disconnect and relax. The rooms were clean and had all the amenities we needed, and Naty our host was super friendly and helpful. A real adventure of an experience!!
Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.
Had the larger dorm room with 4 bunk beds and hence it felt very spacious for 1 pax. Breakfast was yummy and the location is close to everything. Great that the staff spoke English as it helps, given my limited command of Spanish.
Nice beach location and relatively cheap private rooms compared to the other places along the beach, helpful staff. Close to lots of other bars and restaurants
Great location, very helpful staff. The individual rooms/pods and very nice. It is possible to use the facilities of the hostel next door (restaurant, swimming pool etc). There is a fan in the room to keep cool at night.
Great location right at the beach. Nice room, very comfortable. Right at a camping spot where you can purchase a good breakfast (not expensive) and coffee for free.
Kind staff, great value, amazing pool, right at the beach, good and sufficient amenities. Would recommend booking the 10 bed jungle room rather than the one with 8 beds.
A place for a peaceful stay but there are several other hostels in walking distance that you can go to for a party.
Still, easy to meet other travelers!
We had the best stay at Encanto! Harold was so welcoming and helpful and the hostel itself feels really new and clean. It’s a great spot to stay in to visit the waterfalls at Poza Encanta, Medihuaca beach and Tayrona Park - we also could leave our big rucksacks there whilst we were at the park which was super helpful.
The food was also excellent - especially the coco rice and fruit from the garden, and the dogs were the cutest.
we stayed in the first cabin, just next to the beach so it was amazing how close to the sea we were!
the beach was very empty and sea water was just perfect for the hot days
arranged nicely, beautiful palm trees around the tents
clean room and bathroom
nice staff, helped us organize a taxi
very good and quite cheap meals in the hostel next door
Service and staff were fantastic. Out host Laura was brilliant and spoke perfect English. i could not speak more highly of her and the other staff there. Great location and good parties in the nearby hostels. cocktails were also very cheap!!!
The staff was super nice and the food was really good! At least the ceviche and the hamburgers were top notch. The property is basic and simple but a lovely spot right on the beach, beautiful spot to walk up and down the beach and felt very safe. It is a very basic hostel. Fires at night are lovely.
