The castle-like Youth Hostel Schaffhausen is a 20-minute walk from the Munot and Old Town. A buffet breakfast and a variety of meals can be enjoyed on the sun terrace or in the restaurant, and free WiFi access is available.

The location was great, right near the hostel there is a bus stop, and the bus goes directly from/to the main railway station. My main destination was Rheinfall Waterfall, and I traveled with only one bus there and back. Breakfast was amazing, with very fresh bread, and a great choice buffet.

Selda's has a garden, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Schaffhausen. Located around 49 km from Zoo Zurich, the hostel with free WiFi is also 50 km away from ETH Zurich. The property is non-smoking and is situated 48 km from Zurich Exhibition Hall.

The whole staff and especially the manager are top notch. The location is perfect, 1 minute walk from the train station. The rooms are huge for it's location, and the price is extremely reasonable. I definitely recommend this hotel and I'm looking forward to be a guest there soon again!

Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.

The property is in a great location and the room was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was small but adequate and had all amenities. The staff were very helpful and responsive. They provided us with a kettle when we requested one, gave us dining recommendations and brought us a heater when we discovered the heating in the room and the heated towel rail were not working.

The staff was really helpful and full of empathy. I had a really long and difficult trip and arrived after 'hours'. Debora had kept dinner that I had ordered but by the time I arrived I just couldn't do with dinner. They didn't charge me with it the day after and were really nice with it. I also liked the fact that in a Youth Hostel not all were too young/old to be there.
