We had such a nice time at the hostel, it was constantly clean and the rooms very comfy. It had a really nice atmosphere and everyone was really chatty and friendly. The owner is so relaxed and a really nice guy, would definitely recommend staying here! Thank you :)

Big friendly hostel and one of the only places open out of season. 4 bed dorm was clean and comfortable with plenty of bathrooms available. Two kitchens are also available though they get busy at peak time. Communal area available for sitting and eating etc. Meals also available in the big restaurant. It is in an excellent location for the trails as it is just by the start of the main ones. 15min walk to bus station. Dorm beds are one of the best value for money in otherwise expensive location.

The staff are friendly and helpful. They even prepare adapter for me to borrow. The location is good and not far away from a supermarket. Depending on which route you are going to, it is near the start point of some treks but far from others

Ok for a night. Good small place to meet other travellers. Shared rooms very small. If fully booked and you need to prepare for a longer trek it's getting very "cosy".

Located at a great spot where many of the hikes begin. There are groceries and equipment rental stores nearby. By the number of people they are hosting, the facilities were relatively clean. The bunk beds have storage below them that are lockable.

Good location, kitchen sufficient, very warm. Nice common area to eat and meet people. Helpful staff.
Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.

La atención del personal del del hostel excelente. Muy amables
Very good location, a short walk from the bus station, no taxi necessary, if you're up for rolling your luggage down the street or sidewalk for about 5 to 10 minutes. Front desk staff Diana and Augustina were very friendly and helpful, they gave us good info about the town, restaurants and the hikes. Included breakfast was adequate. Room was quiet. FYI, This place is basically a hostel for budget conscious travellers, many of whom had rooms with shared bathrooms.
Rancho Grande is at a great location in El Chaltén - close to the start of all the famous trekking trails. The restaurant area is open 24/7 - food is great (huge and delicious Milanesas! By staying in the hostel, I got 10% discount for all dinners. The atmosphere is very cozy, perfect for an after-hike relaxation. The kitchen area is big, common areas are well-designed.
I’m not sure how this hostel isn’t better rated. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the staff were great, the facilities are great and the atmosphere is perfect! The kitchen is very large and well stocked which allows you to save a bit by cooking. The hostel is also the cheapest option available that we could find in chalten. There is also a very secure procedure for leaving your bags in reception after you’ve checked out if you aren’t ready to leave yet.
Lovely people working at místico hostel, so kind and helpful and took care of our needs. Good location on the main thoroughfare and dorms with just 8 beds. Decent sized kitchen and dining area. Felt safe and secure. Perfect base for hiking.
Great location, very friendly staff. The room was very small but the price was really cheap so overall very happy with it. Perfect for budget travellers.
Great host, very friendly and helpful. Hostel is in a great location and is perfect for backpackers both solo or groups/couples. Separate kitchen is great and on site parking.
The staff were incredibly helpful and one of the cleanest hostels I’ve stayed in. Rooms had lockers and there were plenty of showers and toilets so I never had to wait. Best location for hikes as well as you’re a 2 minute walk from the base. Charged in the official currency as well which makes it even cheaper than advertised in GBP.
Best hostel in town. Rooms were clean warm and beds comfortable. Common room was nice, comfy couches. Close to the start of the trails. Epic restaurant, huge, delicious meals, reasonably priced and open 24/7. Best food in town. Very good showers.
Cosy hostel, good staff, great location for the v popular Laguna de Los Tres hike. One of the dorm rooms has two beds and they let us switch, so effectively a private twin (bunkbed) room for the same price.
