The breakfast was delicious and fresh, cats were super friendly and the volunteers created a vibing atmosphere. We even cooked barbecue together. The hostel is a few minutes walk from the beach and bus station.

The view is amazing and a short walk from the best beach ever (Filikuri) - that is why I chose to stay here. Really lovely property with beautiful veggie gardens that the owners are always working on - authentic local vibes. It was fine for a one night stay for me. It was also super cheap in November.
Set in Himare, a few steps from Spille Beach, Mateo offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace.

There was a lovely big terrace and the view was great. Our 6 bed female dorm was small but just about ok for our 3 night stay, there were lockers and curtains. There was a small section of beach with 3 parasols and chairs for the hotel which was very handy on the crowded beach. I would recommend walking to the far left (as you look out to sea) of the bay, about 30-40 min walk but amazing for the sunset.

Great location between all the main beaches, fantastic views from the hostel and the staff were super friendly and helpful. Also amazing breakfast! Would recommend as a great authentic Albanian stay 😊
Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.
Best hostel in town if you are looking for peaceful and authenticity. The view is amazing and you can look at the sunset every evening. Yaya, the owner is so nice and did a lot of things to made our life easier. You just need 15 minutes walking to reach Filikuri beach which is great. I had booked 2 nights and I finally stayed 6.
One of my best hostel experiences. Ascetically beautiful with a modern kitchen, a few different chill out areas and comfortable dorm. The staff and volunteers were well organised and always keeping the environment clean, tidy and atmospheric. The space felt like a community, with many returning travellers and some staying for months at a time. This place gave me so much more than I bargained for! Thank you
Amazing place! Great vibe, clean bathrooms, the owner is lovely and you get breakfast included as well. One of the best hostels I have stayed in, a lot of people we met were extending their time here because they enjoyed it so much.
The best hostel in Himara!! If I am ever back in town, I'd not look for anything else :)
Great vibes, good breakfast, lovely people, and a spacious dorm room with an amazing view.
Super close to Filikuri Beach which is way nicer than the main beach. Yaya the owner is lovely and made us feel so at home. Comfy beds, clean rooms and bathrooms, very sociable. Ended up extending 5 extra nights. Probably my best hostel experience ever. Faleminderit
Clean and solid hotel!
Good room size and clean bathroom with big shower.
Great location, took about 7 minutes to walk in to the other part "central" of Himara.
Nice beach directly at the hotel.
Fair price for sunchairs, we only used the right side of the beach. 5 euro for 1 umbrella and two sunchairs (june 2024).
Great friendly staff and always someone on shift that spoke good english.
Good pizza and pasta in the restaurant.
Cheap minimarket just 50 meters away.
Great value for money, the best you can get in Himara. Also a great location, only few minutes walking to the city center and beach. Also you have the opportunity to get a bicycle or rent a car for a better exploration. In the hostel you can find all the information you need for the most attractive destinations near to Himara. The owners are very kind and helpfull for everything.
The best hostel I've ever stayed in - thank you so much for the hospitality, the staff and the place are amazing! Very good breakfast and great location, highly recommend to stay there.
