Caldeira Guesthouse is situated in Calheta, 100 metres from the Atlantic Ocean, in the Azorean São Jorge Island. It is located in natural surroundings, within the Fajã da Caldeira de Santo Cristo Natural Park, 30 km from the main village of Velas. Amazing place in a traditional settlement (fajã) very close to the ocean, the lakes and the beautiful mountains. I had wonderful time staying at that guesthouse and feeling at home. It was very peaceful, with very tasty breakfast and dinner, good bathroom with hot shower and a comfortable bed. The hosts David and Kristina and the volunteers were very kind and friendly, there's such a good atmosphere there. This is the way a guesthouse should be run.

Casa Do Antonio is just 100 metres from Velas Port, offering spacious rooms with cable TV and free tea and coffee for guests. Rooms boast views across Pico Island, the sea or the port.

Each of the rooms is equipped with a private bathroom, air conditioning, cable TV, telephone and safe. The owners also provide free pastries and fruit for guests. The breakfast was exactly as described and the attendant friendly and helpful. We loved watching the harbour in the morning and a great view of Mt Pico.

At the homestay, units are equipped with bed linen and towels. It’s a historic building. There is a library with old newspapers and books, and s garden and swimming pool.

Guests can take in the views of the mountain from the patio, which also has outdoor furniture. There is also a seating area and a fireplace. The hosts Lina and Rui are the most warm and accommodating people, it felt like we stayed with family. The views from the dining room every morning watching to see if we could spot some dolphins while we ate breakfast was one of a kind. The location was great as we were 3 minutes from the airport but we didn't have to drive down a mountain to get to the house. We loved sitting by the pool, either in the sun or under the pool house roof. Lina makes sure everything is spotless each day. This was such an enjoyable stay!

Set in Velas, Casa dos Rui´s offers accommodation with seating area. Boasting a 24-hour front desk, this property also provides guests with a picnic area. There is a sun terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. The place exceeded our expectations simply because of its host Rui! Maybe the room is a bit too small but Rui is a gem! He suggested some very best sport to visit on Sao Jorge, helped to solve return time issue with car rental company, suggested few really nice restaurants and even booked few taxi rides for us. We simply forgot about all the small inconveniences in the house, becase Rui made us spend a great time in Sao Jorge and if you read this, Rui, thank you very much!

You will find a 24-hour front desk at the property. This was my second stay in AzoresDream. In my favourite room I feel already like at home. Julia and her husband are perfect hosts. In this house you will have everyting you need. Rooms are simple and perfectly clean. In the common area there is a kitchen and fridge. I like the location of the house. Velas is rather small so from the house you will have short distance to all main points: the port, the natural swimming area, church and restaurants. Do not miss the lovely public garden of Velas. I can recommend Azores Dream and I hope I will have opportunity to come back one day to SaoJorge island and sleep again in my favourite room. Thank you Julia! Quinta Do Canavial is located in São Jorge Island and features sweeping views over the green areas of the island and of the Atlantic Ocean. The unit includes an outdoor swimming pool and a restaurant.

Each room comes with a balcony and a private bathroom with free toiletries. All rooms have an ocean view and free WiFi access. Amazing view of the ocean and cliffs. Tables scattered throughout the property for a secluded breakfast surrounded by cool plants a flowers. Staff was soooo awesome. They heard we were leaving early and would miss breakfast and they packed us lunch baggies to eat in the road. Amazing place I hope to come back

The colourful apartments include a fully equipped kitchenette and a dining area. Each has a separate seating area with a flat-screen TV. Some have floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the islands of Pico and Faial. The 2 bedroom apartment was spacious and clean. The large sliding glass doors allowed for exceptional views looking over Velas and the surrounding mountains from every room. Breakfast was the typical buffet style. All in all This a great place to stay in São Jorge.
