This means you feel more relaxed and safe than at a hotel/motel. There is a shared kitchen, and shared toilets, all clean and well maintained. John is an excellent host. He is friendly, and always available. The property is located very conveniently, in a nice neighborhood, with restaurants, supermarkets, coffee shops, etc., around. The added part is the rescue dog, Goya (that's what I guess John was calling him), who wants to be your friend and play with you. There is even a pool, which I didn't get time to use. There is coffee and tea in the kitchen. I found the place very homely and welcoming.

They go extra mile in order to make their guests feel comfortable. I booked one week then ended up staying there for three weeks. The location is good, pretty safe neighborhood, the whole appartment is very spacious and super clean. I will definitely stay there again if I’m in Panama City again.

I have never experienced such kind helpful staff. Manuel goes above and beyond to help. When we arrived we were having contacting a airline to arrange a ticket refund- he could not have been more helpful and with success. Whilst in Panama we were subject to petty crime and Manuel contacted the Police and came with us to the station to make a statement . We had a bigger room . It was quiet, very clean with a comfortable bed and pillows. The WiFi worked well and the room had air-con. The kitchen was well equipt and we cooked a few meals. The staff will do your laundry on site for $6 a load. Excellent location- lots of shops ( food stores) and restaurants nearby. Via Argentina is a 10-15min walk. All in all we were so pleased that we chose Hostel IBRAIS - we came back for another stay! (Manuel stored our bags and had helped organise a San Blas tour)

Enjoyed the morning breakfast with the standard and two other options at a fair price. Surrounded with conveniences.

At the homestay, each unit comes with bed linen and towels. Exceptional cleanliness, a very beautiful bedroom, where it is very comfortable. Directly from the room there is a kitchen and a terrace - very nice and overlooks the mountains and the garden. There is a stone barbecue on the terrace. The senora is very caring and cooks very tasty. She can also cook dinner if you didn’t have time to go to the restaurant or didn’t have time to take food with you. She made us fantastic cutlets from plane trees for breakfast. We tried this for the first time. The dishes we ate with were very beautiful. Everything was great! Good air, peace and quiet. Senora plays the guitar and sings very beautifully. Her voice is extraordinary. It was as if we were on another planet. 5 minutes of cascades from home. You can safely swim and relax. We had a great time! Wonderful place and friendly people. 100% recommended.
