The common space was welcoming and enjoyable to hang out in, our beds were comfortable, and the shared bathroom and shower were clean and comfortable. I’m not sure if it’s always this way, but the other guests were quiet and polite and respectful. Wish we could have stayed here longer!

They were really flexible with my check in despite me arriving there well before the designated time. It's the perfect amount of space for a solo traveler; the tatami style room was very cozy and comfortable. Small kitchen space and fridge was also a plus. The location is nice as its not in the thick of the really touristy areas so it doesn't feel over-crowded, but it's easy enough to commute to popular spots via bus.

The place is also great, clear and traditional Japanese. The room overlooks into the small japanese garden, which has pond and Koi. Location is also great. 3min walk and you are at Gion of Kyoto. Highly recommended!
