At the homestay, all units have bed linen and towels. Great location, comfortable room and a beautiful view of the city. Mahmoud was so hospitable and gave us lots of advice about how to make the most of our time. He and his family were all so kind and welcoming.

Featuring a shared lounge and views of mountain, Dana View Guest House is a guest house situated in a historic building in Dana, 27 km from Shobak Castle. Boasting a 24-hour front desk, this property also provides guests with a picnic area. The accommodation offers airport transfers, while a car rental service is also available. The village of Dana is set on the side of the mountain and the 4 rooms look straight down the valley with uninterrupted amazing views. The rooms have comfortable beds, a great shower, and plenty of extra blankets and a fire for those colder nights. Rashid is an amazing host, such a friendly man with a huge amount of knowledge and passion for the local area and wildlife. For a fee he will act as your guide if you would like, but no pressure. Breakfast was lovely and traditional provided by Rashid. For dinner we chose to have meals cooked by local families - delicious and huge portions we could not finish (13 JOD). We fed leftovers with Rashid to a couple puppies and their mum. The sunsets were incredible, the people in the village just lovely.

Ad Deir Our experience in Ad Deir Guesthouse was precoius. The room is big enough, clean with everything we needed. We remain astonished by kindness of hosts: Saddam, Kalhed and their family solved a problem of our car (not easy problem) allowing us to visit Petra without missing anything we planned. We even suggest to have dinner in this guesthouse, they prepare a delicious traditional dinner. What make an experience unforgettable are people…and that is the case.
