The location is perfect and I like the hospitality of the owner most! She and her brother went all out to make sure we are safe and have food to eat when the city was flooded. While most of the restaurants and shops were closed due to flood, we still have things to eat & drink while enjoying the flood scene in front of the shop. 😂😂😂

We stayed in the Lake View room and it was lovely, especially seeing the daily lives of those living around the lake. The room was clean and comfortable. Laundry services were available and the host did an amazing job with our clothes. The homestay is within walking distance to the Imperial City as well as a local market. Great food options in the area. Some of the best spots were in hidden alleys. The homestay is also near a great corner cafe, tasty bánh mì, and an excellent barber. The host for this homestay was so incredibly sweet! It was a joy to interact with her and her visitors. Yes, there is a language barrier, but I'm not sure where most of the reviewers think they are traveling to. You'd think they were going to the UK or Canada with how much English they expect everyone to speak. Folks, you're in Vietnam and there are plenty of translation apps!

We loved everything: the hosts; the room; the location!!! This accommodation is in a very good location, close to many restaurants/cafes, the imperial enclosure and with a view to the Perfume River. It's very clean and modern and since it is inside the citadel, it is also fairly quiet. The hospitality of this family is particularly worth noting, as we were treated SO well - requests for breakfast, motorbike rentals, taxi, advice (for where to eat/sightseeing), leaving our luggage until departure and even borrowing their personal bicycles were met promptly and with a smile. The grandmother in particular was extra kind to our children, proving fruit, water and even cake! We highly recommend staying here.

Staying at the House of Ly was an extremely comfortable, charming, and personal experience! Ms. Ly herself was the crown jewel of it all - the sweetest and most welcoming host! During our stay in Hue, the weather was quite rainy, so we spent more time in the homestay than normal. However, Ms. Ly's hospitality made that time so special and worthwhile. She treated us like her own children, offering us her homemade apricot tea, and spending the afternoon singing karaoke with us to pass the time. An unforgettably wonderful experience, I'd recommend anyone stay at her lovely homestay!
