A beautifully renovated old house of outstanding quality and character hosted by a friendly, warm and welcoming couple. Breakfast was fresh and served to the table with plenty of choice. A bus stop directly near the property made it so easy to go into the centre of Alesund without the hassle of driving and parking the car. Directly next to the Sunemore Museum.

Rolf was is amazing host! I felt attended to even before I arrived and throughout my stay. He made sure to send details regarding check-in, he confirmed my arrival time, he spent time showing my the facilities, he not only answered any questions I had, but also took time to come up with ideas for what things to see and how to get to various places. Rolf was so personable and made this the best stay I have had in Norway. Secondly, the location of Kirkegata 4 is spectacular. Right by the parking garage, supermarket, and bars/restaurants. Also very close to fjellstua viewpoint. Once I arrived I didn’t need to use my car again. Thirdly, the facilities are clean, comfortable, and convenient. I had everything I needed and was perfectly at ease. This was such a helpful thing when traveling as there can be many reasons for uneasiness. Fourth, the price is wonderful. This is one of the cheapest places I’ve stayed and still the most high quality.

Jack was a very pleasant host. As we were the only customers during that night, we had full "private" access to the entire facilities (jacuzzi, extremely large TV and excellent sound system, small fitness room, kitchen,...). Quiet like no other place, very comfortable beds. Kitchen is very well furnished, clearly stuffed by someone that uses it themselves. The amount of facilities is outstanding.

Room was cuter than the photos & much nicer than the hallway/buildling it's in. Perfect location near popular stikk.UT trail up hill for view of city, 10min walk from downtown / harbour etc. There was cold water in fridge, cups, plates, cutlery, tea, mints, instant coffee on table. Warm blanket, comfy bed. Directions for checkin/keys were clear and prompt.

Emmanuel upgraded my room free of charge to include a stunning view, which was so nice after a long day of travel. The bed and room is comfortable and everything was perfectly clean. There is a shared bathroom, but the doors lock, so it didn't bother me at all. Was great for my solo travel trip from America. While this isn't walkable to the city center or restaurants, the bus picks up right across the street at the hospital, and it's only about a 20 minute (beautiful!!) ride to the city center.

It was the most wonderful place. First of all, the owners are lovely, caring, friendly and will help you with any questions you have. Secondly, the location. As mentioned before, it is quite the view to wake up to, to see in the afternoon, and in the evening! It might not be the closest to Ålesund (has a bus to the city, just down the road), but it is 100% worth it to stay in this flat! 10/10- we had a wonderful experience there and would come back there any time
