The area is nice and the price was very cheap, I thought because I'd made the booking last minute, but on arrival I realized that I guess it's more to do with the quality and lack of comfort/privacy.
The staff were friendly and the sheets clean, but I think it's the building itself that needs a refresh.

Nice neighbourhood and really interesting, especially being so near the station. It was not too noisy and quite lively. There is a little tree lined canal road next to the hotel and the walk to the station (5 minutes) has lots of izakayas and bars frequented by locals and not just tourists.
