I had the impression it was just a room. I was so surprised there's a kitchenette (there aren't any cooking utensils but there's no stopping you from bringing cooking utensils I guess) and even a laundry machine inside the room. They even provide soap and coat deodoriser which are little touches that are very thoughtful of them/anticipates the needs of the guest.

I chose Okayama as a destination because I wanted to see Korakuen Gardens rated as one of 3 best in Japan.
I also wanted to see Naoshima Art Island and it made a good day trip.
The Kibitsu-jinja Shinto Temple was a fantastic complex. And out in the country a bit so peaceful. Another good day trip.
The local Art Gallery had a good exhibition on and the Castle was one of the best I've seen.
The town is just a good size. All conveniences without the Osaka scramble.

Bustling and thriving, really cool underground mall / restaurant alley next to the JR Okiyama station. Many dining options in that vacinity. I was only in town for eighteen hours, barely saw anything but had a nice visit on my way to the ultimate destination.

Very beautiful and underrated area of Japan.
Very beautiful and underrated area of Japan. All the sights were lovely and it’s a good area if you’re interested in history, and leisure outdoor activities. I’d recommend really planning out your time since the transportation isn’t as frequent as Tokyo and lots of places close pretty early around 5/6pm.

There were beautiful gardens in the city including the wonderful botanic garden. The castle was also interesting. In addition, Okayama is a wonderful place to stay with day trips to wonderful cities/sites such as Hiroshima, Kurashiki, Naoshima or Himeji Castle.

Besides having a few interesting sightseeing options of its own (castle, Korakuen garden), Okayama is a very convenient place to stop for a few days because it's close to other popular places to visit (Kurashiki) and a gate to visit northeastern Shikoku
Perfect Location, connected to train station. Impeccable service, staff were all genuine warm smiles and bent over backwards to help their customers. The front office staff helped me with every booking (haircut, nail appointment, restaurant bookings, train tickets, you name it!) They were absolutely lovely to deal with and the meals we had at the hotel were delicious, especially the lounge treats were very good. Okayama was my favorite place to relax as it's not overcrowded like many other big Japanese cities.
The hotel was approximately a fifteen minute walk from Okayama train station. The staff were very welcoming. There was a bar on the ground floor with free alcohol, whiskey, gin, bicardi and schnapps. Soft drinks and coffee also available.
There was a onsen at the hotel for guests.
The breakfast in the morning was lovely, so much choice. The hotel was an approximate thirty minute walk from the castle and five mintue walk from restaurants and bars.
We chose this hotel as it was near to the station and we have stayed in Dormy Inns before. We were not disappointed. The onsen (women) was very well equipped with bathing facilities and also empty at the time I visited :). The room was clean and comfortable. We were able to easily walk to places we wanted to visit in Okayama. Having a Dormy Inn 'outfit' in the room is very useful. The evening ramen service was very tasty.
Very nice hotel we ended up staying two nights because of a typhoon - we weren't even planning a stay in Okayama during out trip, but got stranded there. Great location close to the station, restaurants, shops and all. Big room except for the bathroom which was tiny. (However I could see on the floor map that we had one of the smallest rooms.)
Unfortunately we never got to check out the baths upstairs.
The location is amazing. Just next to Okayama Station and close to Aeon shopping mall.
The room was very simple but comfy. I love that you can choose which pillow you want to use. The doors open with a code which make it easier not to have to share the key.
The onsen was soooo nice! The breakfast was delicious and they have a free welcome bar in the afternoon that was a pleasant surprise.
This hotel is a large, modern hotel located adjacent to the train station. It was clean, but a bit small compared to other hotels at comparable prices we stayed in during this trip. There were lots of decent restaurants with in walking distance. Since we were using Okayama as a hub for our day trips in the region the location adjacent to the train station (< 5 minutes) was a real plus.
Good value, helpful staff and decent breakfast. Hotel is in a convenient location next to Okayama train station. Taxi to Okayama Castle and its gardens took us only about 20 min and $10. Hotel didn’t mind to keep our luggage after checkout for the whole day. We checked out early morning and came to collect our luggage at 8pm. We stayed only one night, but would happily come back.
Next to Nishgawa. I grew up in Okayama and found a library next to Nishgawa as a child. Was thrilled to find such a thing as a library existed where anyone can borrow a books for free.
The library no longer existed, but Hotel gave me a chance to look around to see if it still existed.
Breakfast buffet was excellent.
Very convenient, well kept hotel in Okayama. Directly attached to JR Station makes for easy transit to nearby sites. The hotel staff were extremely accommodating and helpful. The concierge Dorothy went out of her way to secure me NYE reservations during a hard to book period.
A clean, comfortable and generous-sized room with a balcony looking out over the city. Not the most modern hotel and while some of the furniture is showing signs of wear, it is all clean. Very well located for the city centre, station and the Okayama Korakuen gardens.
The hotel is right next to Okayama castle and garden and two tram stops away from Okayama station so location wise it was great. The hotel itself is very dated. The room and bathroom look like they’re from the 1980s. They will make the room everyday but not your bed.
The staff is always friendly. It's my third time to stay at this hotel. There's free drinks you can get anytime. It is about 8 minutes away from Okayama station on foot. They also have free bicycle rental if you want to explore the city.
Very high quality hotel with super friendly staff and a generous breakfast buffet. Lovely comfortable beds and convenient access to the train station. Very quiet rooms despite the close location to Okayama station.
clean, cozy and in the center of the city. even though it takes 15 mins on foot to okayama sta.
i love the japanese breakfast too.
staffs were friendly and even called me after my things left there.
The hotel was very comfortable with a larger than average Japanese double room. So convenient as it is only a 5 minute walk from Okayama Station. Breakfast was good.
Nice new and comfortable hotel within close distance and view of Okayama station. Convenience store with dedicated entrance on the ground floor. Good Wifi speed.
Close to the station. Large rooms. Staff was friendly and helpful. They recommended a great restaurant that was less than 5 minutes away from our hotel.
