The pension has a lovely large sized communal bath and shower, which you have to schedule use for earlier in the day. The heated rug is lovely.

The hotel locates at a quiet location next to a hot spring creek. Natural surrounding created such a beautiful peaceful resting place. The hotel was very clean, cosy and comfortable. Hotel also offers hot spring onsen which has been included.
The breakfast was amazing. We booked 7 am to have our breakfast but I guess the host could be busy at kitchen for hours.
The host is very friendly with limited English. However we did not have much problem to chat, including borrowed some bowls to heat our food brought from Shuzenji.
The main reason we selected this hotel is to experience something different than fancy onsen hotels around Shuzenji, which could be very commercialised and costly. Pension Amagiji really surprised us. Very happy stay. Really like this place and will come back to stay longer next time.

The house is very cozy and clean. The view is great (you can see beautiful sunsets from the terrace) and it is a good place to relax. The manager (Mika) is awesome, she is all good vibes and tries hard you to be comfortable.

We could see the ocean from our room! The nearby beaches are beautiful and great places to snorkel. Private hot outside bath in the evening was the best to conclude our day. A big supermarket is just around the corner.
Boasting inner courtyard views, 伊道荘園 provides accommodation with balcony, around 29 km from Shuzen-ji Temple. Featuring a 24-hour front desk, this property also provides guests with a picnic area.
Travellers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. This simple accommodation is in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
The host, Sato San is absolutely amazing. He’s kind and genuine with a genuine care for guests and the property. It’s homestay but in my eyes that’s a good thing because you get to talk with the hosts and learn so much more about Japan and everything than you would otherwise from a sanitized hotel experience. I’d come back a hundred times.
