It was a very comfortable stay - just for one night but the rooms were fully equipped with kettle, tea, coffee, milk, lovely bed, cupboard space, TV with and On-demand Apps, bathroom was clean and well stocked with toiletries, shampoo, etc and on-street parking was easily available! Ian was very accommodating and allowed us to leave a bit later than the checkout time of 10am as we had an occasion to attend nearby at 11:30. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

The bed was very comfortable. The level of cleanliness was very good and everything worked. The hotel has been owned and run by the same family for many years, and the hosts were very friendly, polite and helpful. The breakfast was more than adequate for a continental breakfast.

This is a great place to stay in Oxford- we loved it , in spite of some of the issues we experienced. Excellent location . Very central but also quiet . Very high spec furnishings and fittings . Loved the old features alongside modern touches eg usb chargers , great lighting .

Lovely friendly hosts...
We had room 5 which was cosy. The view is of the house next door so you do need to have your blinds down if you don't want people looking in and the road is a bit noisy if you have the windows open but the room was clean, had everything you need and well equipped.
Location is excellent. Buses run every 5 minutes to Oxford from just outside the accommodation or you can have a 10 minute walk into Headington.
Travellers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. This simple accommodation is in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
Our stay was fantastic. The hut was very well equipped with everything that we needed. Being in the hot tub at nighttime looking at the stars was magical. Thame is just down the road and has some lovely pubs and restaurants. Georgina is a lovely host.
Tracey was a great host, very helpful, nice family, friendly dog too.
The room I had was perfect, first room from hallway right next to bathroom. Very compact, comfortable and peaceful with everything I needed.
Would definitely stay here again if I had to travel these sides, if available, and would recommend to anyone.
We loved the quirky artefacts in the hotel - it's a beautiful old building that has been well cared for. The garden suite was beautifully decorated and a fantastic size with a comfortable bed and we loved the breakfast too. The staff were all extremely friendly and approachable. We slept very well. Great location in a lovely market town.
Quirky older hotel. Comfy beds, good full english breakfast. Central location. I got a garden suite with a downstairs seating area and fabulous large upstairs room. Was a bit cold to sit out still but would be great in summer.
Sheila was a great host, dinner and breakfast were delicious. Beds were comfy, lovely crisp white cotton linens with extra blankets. Shower room was small but perfectly formed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
This was a memorable stay, for the strong sense of community ( the landlady arranged a charity fund raising event in minutes, supported enthusiastically by locals in the bar), and her desire to see her guests happy and comfortable. I had a lovely room, immaculately clean, and specially enjoyed a wide choice of fruit at breakfast, as well as full English.
