From the moment we arrived we were made to feel so welcome by Colleen, the room was great and had everything we could possibly need, the homemade banana bread and breakfast was fabulous. Our grandson loved walking the dogs through the grounds and orchard and the plums and apples we picked were lovely. Just sad it was only one night, our grandson didn’t want to leave at all and talked about it for ages lol Can’t recommend this B & B highly enough thank you Jane Neil and Kieran x

Situated beneath the Mendip Hills, Burcott Mill Guesthouse is less than 2 miles from the cathedral city of Wells. Free WiFi and free on-site parking are provided at this charming Grade II listed building, which also houses one of only two working watermills in Somerset.

The property is a rare find only 2 miles out of Wells and on the edge of a small village with a few great pubs and farms all around. The working flour mill grinds spelt and whole wheat flour as its done for centuries, that goes into delicious breads served with breakfast.

Most of the staff were friendly. The breakfast on the first morning was lovely. Unfortunately, the second breakfast was not cooked properly, very greasy, and the egg was part raw. I did ask for a replacement, but the chef just took the egg and toast, flipped the egg over, and served it to me . My dog ate it instead. I had stated that I could not have oily foods due to allergies , unfortunately, this was ignored on the second breakfast, and the owner was not on the premises at the time. It is clean and well kept . The locals are friendly.
