Stated when I was booking I would arrive just after 4 which I did. I tried calling contact number I was sent in confirmation and phone off alday. Turned up at property, looked like abandoned, mail hanging out letter box which was being held up by tape. So left and had to book another place. Received email from owner over 2 hours later with and code but by then paid for another place. I would avoid.

The whole team would not have been more helpful and welcoming to our family and friends group, accommodated for a local wedding. Jennifer was especially welcoming on our (early!) arrival, and Claire similarly helpful. They even found our daughters’ coat after checkout and made sure we had it back. Really recommend this as a super change from typical hotel life. Breakfast is lovely, rooms very comfortable, and the use of the dining room as a lounge is a real bonus. Plenty of local eateries so not a problem not having an evening restaurant. My only regret is that we didn’t have time to try one of the treatments offered!

Lovely clean, quiet and very homely place to stay. Great breakfast and lovely friendly hosts, i would definitely recommend it as a place to stay, and very convenient to get to, as just of motor way, which was great for going to Falkirk or Edinburgh.

I had a terrible trip up & missed the first night, turning up with no more than three & a half hours sleep in forty eight hours. The lady was obviously non plussed but after the explanation, couldn’t have been sweeter. I slept almost all the first day and night in a wonderful, cosy room and she was constantly helpful and as warm and friendly as her lovely dog Jools. Lovely area too, with nice walks and very warm locals. I wholeheartedly recommend her.

I have been here many times before. Owner is a great host. He was very helpful. The restaurant provides amazing food, the chicken curry was phenomenal! Better than any restaurant I have tasted. There is a huge whisky collection and if you are a fan of Uisce beatha then this is a place to visit. The room was clean, comfortable and very quiet. I did not try the breakfast as I left early but I saw the continental spread which looked amazing!
Lovely host made us feel very welcome and gave us plenty of insight into the local area. Very comfortable room and beautifully decorated home. Would definitely stay again if in the area.
