The owners of the manor are very open, friendly and hospitable. They met us at the entrance and showed us all the places and facilities they have. The homemade dinner was fantastic, especially the starters.
The room was very spacious, clean and with many artefacts from the good old days.
The location is wonderful: 10 min walk from the train station and at the same time distant from the roads and city center. There are many hiking trails nearby.

We arrived late at night as a stop between Barcelona airport and Girona. We felt very welcome. The accommodation is basic but comfortable. We had a wonderful meal in the evening when we arrived. We would recommend this place to other travellers.

No air conditioning in the height of summer. The host was a very nice lady. The staff in the breakfast area were shocking, gave priorty over locals who came for breakfast instead of seeing to guests. Staff left us stood there when we were unsure of what and where to go. They totally blanked my wife when she went to the counter to ask about breakfast and where to sit, they could'nt or would'nt even translate the menu. They never even aproached our table when we finally sat down. As a family of four, i though this was disgusting especially with having a four year old with us. I guess the moral of this story is, if you speak spanish you will be treated right, if not then you wont be treated at all. Even if i spoke spanish, i would never visit again.
Travellers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. This simple accommodation is in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
Santa Clara is a great apartment. We have stayed here twice, once in the street view apartment and most recently in the river view apartment, both are fantastic. Martha is a lovely host and provides very clear instructions for access on arrival. The apartments are very central.

Lovely modern apartment in great location - comfortable, clean and spacious. Great hosts who made check in easy and booked taxis for us to and from airport.
Centrally located, near the river and Plaza Catalunya, provided easy access to the stone bridge, old town and shopping area. There is a nice bar where you can have coffee, lunch or a drink that is full of people, not only residents, but also locals and turists. The breakfast was ok, but nothing fancy.
