Located just 2.6 km from Great Wall of China - Huanghuacheng, Encounter Garden Great Wall Holiday Guesthouse features accommodation in Beijing with access to a garden, a bar, as well as full-day security. With mountain views, this accommodation provides a patio and a swimming pool. Guests can make use of the outdoor fireplace or the picnic area, or enjoy views of the garden and inner courtyard.

This place is adorable! They served us a glass kettle of hot fresh tea on arrival. We took a taxi from PEK for about 300 CNY. My WeChat scanner acted up, so they popped in the taxi and payed it right away then added the exact amount to my bill. That could have been so stressful, so I was so so grateful! The staff were all very kind and worked to accommodate the communication barrier throughout our stay including helping us understand some local things that tourists might not get. It really is like walking into very special space. The entrance is the dining area with beautiful dried flowers hanging, trees, and fresh planted flowers for centers. They have a low tech yard space, so our kids entertained themselves for a bit. It’s actually bigger than I expected. There are probably 7-11 guest rooms, maybe? They have them situated in a way there there’s 3 separate outdoor spaces, so you could be close to people or find a quiet spot. The guest room area in like a long L with courtyards separating, so they are spread out. Great for privacy, but queen rooms and twin rooms are not next door if that’s what you’re imagining. BONUS - They had traditional clothing for borrowing for free, and they said you could take them to the wall for pictures if desired. A couple of notes - This is going to be a little different for people not used to Asia. Western toilets in the rooms, which is great! One of our bathrooms had the curtain around the shower next to the toilet. Separated by the curtain, but wet room style so it might get wet in the room if you just showered. Very normal, so don’t be irritated. Beds were like a thick futon style mattress on a raised platform, so not as firm as a futon on the floor and not as soft as a mattress on box spring. Breakfast was very Asian style with veggies, eggs, rice, and soup. They had steam buns, too! The veg was so good! We loved it. Coffee was purchased separately at the coffee shop. We got an amazing Cappuccino and Latte for 72 CNY together.

Situated within the Dongcheng district in Beijing, Refactoring Space Beijing Wang Fu Jing has air conditioning, a terrace, and city views. This guest house features accommodation with a balcony. The property is 1.3 km from the city centre and 1.5 km from Wangfujing Street.

The quality of amenities is unbelievably good, the location of the hotel next to Dongsi Street is imo the best location in Beijing. The room was spacy, the cushions were ergonomic, and because of the mattress, I had one of the best sleeps from all the travels I did so far (I travel a lot). The hotel Manager is kind and friendly, hospitable and very motivated to learn more English or speak it better. There is a tea café in the lobby where you'll sure have your best tea cup in Beijing. Highly recommended hotel and definitely staying there the next time I visit Beijing.

Good location with a great host. Mark was so friendly and helped us with everything we needed. Able to purchase drinks there which was helpful. Breakfast was good and the rooms were very clean. It was quiet even though the rooms look onto the courtyard.

It is near Nanluoguxiang, where there are many scenic spots and delicious food. The service of the staff is super good. They also help us with our luggage, tell us the route and recommend places to visit. The homestay is also very quiet and beautiful. The environment is beautiful. The room facilities are impeccable. Coffee and tea are provided. Free laundry service is provided. It's really great. I heard from the staff that there will be breakfast next week. Perfect and good trip.

Living in a hutong area that has the old and new at your doorstep! Was conveniently located to lovely local restaurants where locals dine(if the one at the beginning of the alley way is full go to the hole in the wall restaurant in the parallel street, it was delicious and super cheap!) Mark and the lady helpers were super nice (so was cute little Justine).

Loved the location which was in the foothills of the GWoC (can see it in the near distance). It’s in a semi-rural location which also gives you an insight into the everyday life of locals.

It is a normal good hostel. What I enjoyed the Most was the hostel atmosphere. Lots of travelers. The staff is very friendly & helpful as well. Location is Perfect. I do not recommend the 6-bed rooms; 4-bed rooms are much better.

The staff is very foreigner friendly and all speak very good English. I would typically recommend the Garden or Courtyard rooms. The Private Residences are located in a separate area, and not as "fun", but better if you are traveling with a small family or need more privacy. Breakfast at Toast was included.

The 2 bedroom suite is perfect for a family with 2 kids, we arrived after a long flight from London and were immediately comfortable, the staff were friendly and helped us with taxis to the train station (not the one over the road, we were taking a train from another one) when we left, very good breakfast with lots of options for locals and foreigners. We’re staying here again before we fly back to London

The location was in central beijing. Lots of food shops around. a 10 minute access to the subway (Line 4). We were there during the peak of winter, and the room heating was perfect. John was a good host who helped us with the subway lines and taxi and car booking for our trips out. The hot crysanthemum tea and smalls snacks in the courtyard were a nice and unexpected touch, especially after coming in from the cold.

The location is very good. It’s close to subway “Xisi” and John is a very good host. He is so kind and always try’s to help! He really takes care about his guests and is doing he job with a lot of passion. The Hutong gives you a first good impression about traditional way of living. It is not luxury, but you have all you need and it’s all clean.
