The host was a nice person. The place was clean and affordable overall HOWEVER,
I came back with bed bug, or mite bites, on my body.
Initially I thought it was animal dander allergies.
I didn't make much of it until later in the afternoon the next day when I saw bug/mite bite marks on my chest and back.
The host denies there are any bugs but in case there were, and the host is not dealing with the issue, others shouldn't have to pay the price AND NOT get a refund either.

Part 1: I chose this location because it seemed like a good place to stay. I specifically chose the option with the private bathroom and parking since we needed it badly for this weekend. When I booked the room there were two payment options: directly on Booking.com or in person. As soon as I booked the room, the only option available was to pay in person.
When we arrived, the owner showed us what was supposed to be our room. There was no private bathroom. I explained to him that I had chosen this option and he told me that there were none in the establishment. To compensate, he changed our place to be in the basement and promised me that there would not be other guests in the basement for the weekend. We quickly looked at the room since we had to go elsewhere and everything seemed fine. When paying, he insisted a lot that we pay cash. We did an etransfer and it was a little more expensive than the price I was supposed to pay, but he told me that it was for the cleaning fees.
Back in the room a few hours later, the bathroom had not been cleaned. The toilet bowl was full of pubic hair and urine. The urine had even run all the way down the bowl. There was not much toilet paper left and the hand soap was empty and covered in black hairs like someone had just shaved. There was no one in the place that night and no cleaning had been done. I had to wash it myself, it was disgusting. The shower also had questionable stains inside and no shampoo, soap, or small towel to wash with. In the room there was dust everywhere and dead bugs on the window sill. This is the type of cleaning that is supposed to be done before the guests arrive. To put it into perspective, I figured he would probably come by to clean the next day. The next day I went to my event. Unfortunately it was impossible to contact anyone all weekend because of the interference.

Pierre is a really good host. So kind and accommodating. Very considerate given that I only stayed for the night. A very big plus is the constant housekeeping that he does and the free clean bath towels that you can use for your stay.
Breakfast was excellent! Room was very comfortable. I appreciated how clean everything was! Location is amazing!!! Great value for the money. Old house with old house character. If that’s what you want, this is a great place!!! Lovely host too. We will be back…
We loved everything about Kokomo INN. Parissa and JT are great hosts. They have done such a great job in the details to make a beautiful, and a cozy place.
This homestay was good value for money, in a quiet area with all the necessary amenities such as a refrigerator, microwave oven, kettle, coffee maker available. There were even some oatmeal snacks kept on the counter. Wifi speed was fast enough to do our work and stream some content on Netflix. The host Kingsley was very welcoming and made us feel at home.
