The weather improved the following day allowing us to experience the beauty of Lake Tekapo.

This recently renovated holiday home is located 700 metres from Arthur's Pass Train Station and 1.8 km from Devils Punchbowl Falls. The property is non-smoking and is set 5.3 km from Temple Basin. Amazing location! Peaceful and serene. No one around. An older cottage, but with modern facilities (fantastic bathroom, newer washer/dryer machines, comfy beds --enough for at least 4 people, probably more--, cozy living room with wood stove). Close enough to the 1 restaurant and 1 cafe/shop in Arthur's pass (1-minute drive), but away from the road so there's no traffic or other people. Great hosts with great communication.

Thank you very much for hosting us -- we really enjoyed our stay! The place is gorgeous -- it feels just like a holiday home. The view of the lake is fantastic. It's very clean and warm -- I see some reviews say the house is too cold; the tip is to use the heatpump as instructed because in really cold environment turning the heatpumps higher may cause the heater to not perform well.

We had a wonderful and comfortable time in Mackenzie Crib! The window view from the dining, living and bed rooms are impressive. All facilities are new and modern and well designed to the concepts of the propoerty. My husband loved the fireplace and spent many hours sitting in front of it. Staffs of Tekapo Holiday Homes are very kind. They helped us quickly and warmly by replaying email and so on, thanks of all.
The property is a modern three bedroom holiday home of a good size with most of the amenities of home. A large fridge and a washing machine were appreciated as was the outside seating area. The location is quiet and seems to mostly be other holiday homes. Not too far from the shops where there were several places to eat.
The apartment is very spacious and comfortable. It is well stocked with amenities and the washer and dryer came in very handy as well. The apartment is walking distance to shops and eateries as well. It was easy to check in/out and the communication with Christchurch Holiday Homes was excellent.
