This cute little house is set in lovely gardens with plenty of outside seating areas and play areas for children. It was very quiet at night, spotlessly clean and the owner had left us lots of treats, apples, sweets and some homemade grappa. The two bedrooms were both spacious and comfortable. One thing to note, the upstairs bedroom (en suite) had no door so lacked a little privacy (only for sound, not for looking into) but this was solved by shutting the door to the living room at night which made the downstairs bedroom effectively an en suite with private access to the house bathroom and gave total privacy to both couples. Plitvice is about 35 minutes drive so really convenient. The restaurant down the road, two minutes drive, Feniks, has mixed reviews, some terrible, but we risked it and had a very nice meal there and the staff were lovely. And it’s one of the few that stayed open until 10pm, most in Slunj closed their kitchen at 8pm which was a little early for us. The stairs to the upstairs bedroom are open tread polished wood and felt slightly hazardous to us oldies but we managed with care. Just something to be aware of it you are an older traveller. All in all, highly recommend, especially if you like to be away from town, the feeling of being in the countryside with greenery and scenery around you.

Near from the plitvice lakes park. The apartment is a detached house. Very nice hosts, speaking fluently English and German. The biggest breakfast as I ever have seen. There are a big supermarket 2 minutes going by a car.

Holiday House Rastoke Pod Lipom is a holiday home set in Slunj, 27 km from Plitvička Jezera. The property is situated next to a waterfall and boasts views of the rivers Korana and Slunjčica. Free WiFi is offered throughout the property. The location was very special. The house was built on top of a waterfall, and listening to the water all night was very comfy and soothing. The local host, Klaudio's mother in law, didn't speak English but she was the kindest host we have ever had the pleasure of interacting with. Klaudio was also readily available on chat to help us bridge the language gap and give us recommendations on Rastoke.

House is just wonderfull and offers all amenities that a family needs. Dragana is an exeptional host and welcomed us with fresh sandwiches made of home grown ingridients. This was our first stay here but we will absolutely be coming back again.
