This property exceeded our expectations and we wished we could have stayed here for longer. It's such great value for money. We forgot to let Gabriele know what time we were arriving so he took a few mins to come down to the property to show us around. By the time Gabriele arrived, one of his neighbours stopped by and picked fresh fruit from the garden for us to eat whilst we waited. They provide a lot of free food and drinks at the property, like an amazing mini bar but completely free. The outdoor space and the view are amazing. It's a really quiet mountainous area. They recommended a nearby restaurant called Trattoria Sottocastello and although it looked really basic, it was the best food we've had on Sicily yet. Parking is really easy, opposite the property on a really quiet street. There's a balcony and an outdoor sitting area. There's a pizza oven and a BBQ in the garden, a lime tree, plus grapes and prickly pears growing around the garden.
Overall, it was amazing value for money, in a beautiful, remote and peaceful location with a very generous host (Gabriele doesn't live there, you have the entire property to yourselves). If you stayed in a town or city you'd probably pay €40 more for somewhere worse.

Great for families or large parties, holiday homes are privately owned accommodation, available for long or short-term rental. These homes are furnished and equipped with kitchen facilities for self-catering, although breakfast may be offered as an add-on. These properties have their own independent front door, which makes them different to apartments.
We had a wonderful stay, the place in a remote location is so quiet and perfect to relax far from the city. The host (family owned) was very welcoming. We enjoyed the nature, the playground for kids where our daughter enjoyed her time so much. We liked to visit the local villages around that were not touristy. The accommodation is recent, very clean and has air-conditioning. The place has a restaurant too and the food served was excellent.
