Hygge at Vallum, hotel in Wark

Hygge at Vallum is situated in Newcastle upon Tyne, 22 km from MetroCentre, 23 km from Theatre Royal, and 24 km from Utilita Arena. This property offers access to a patio and free private parking.

Liked most of the accommodation for 1-2 nights. However, It was a small bedroom, comfy bed, nice bathroom. Living area good space . However there were NO blinds on the front windows. If you were sitting /cooking watching TV on an evening or during the day. People would pass your door and could see right inside your sitting area/ lounge. No real privacy except in Bedroom/ bathroom.

Battlesteads is a hotel with a cosy pub and restaurant. The building is old. The rooms are very clean and comfortable but don't expect sleek and refined. The food in the restaurant is very good. They use a lot of local produce. All is cooked from scratch. The Pub area is really cosy. There is a determined and sustained commitment to being an environmentally friendly hotel. We have stayed many times and will return.

The room and the hotel were very clean and comfortable and I love the efforts the owners are making to become carbon neutral. The food was excellent from breakfast through to the evening meal I would highly recommend this to anyone weather they are staying or eating out.
