Newly renovated property that was clean, tidy and very comfortable. Lots of lovely little touches to make it feel homely and welcoming. Comfortable beds so we all slept well. Plenty of off street parking and a pub across the road - what more do you need?

Great location for families with planet pleasure around the corner
Host was nothing short of exceptional.. always a message away .
Even though the host was out the country at the time of our stay we where given another contact for any issues that we may have had and the host also replied 👍
Self check in was easy and even accommodated early check in. Even to the point where they where happy for us to pop by while the cleaners where there if we need to drop stuff off. (We didn't need to due to traffic but nice to offer that)
For the value of a hotel room you get a 3 bed house.. yes it's not absolutely pristine but it a home away from home and it's clean.
Will definitely stay again

Jon was a great host. The rural setting and local pub were excellent. A reasonably easy journey by car into Durham and to the Living Museum in Beamish:a must see. We will definitely be back and look forward to seeing more of County Durham.

Great clean cottage not too far from Durham. We enjoyed our stay - the beds were comfortable, kitchen well equipped, log fire was great and we appreciated the goodies Cathy left for us - very nice touch - thank you!
Great for families or large parties, holiday homes are privately owned accommodation, available for long or short-term rental. These homes are furnished and equipped with kitchen facilities for self-catering, although breakfast may be offered as an add-on. These properties have their own independent front door, which makes them different to apartments.
Location in a quite village, with a lovely pub, The Bay Horse, across the road, reasonably priced & good food.
Beautifully renovated cottage, done to a high standard, with a lovely shower room & bath robes. Very clean & comfy.
The homemade shortbread biscuits were lovely, thank you.
Easy to find and ample parking outside.
Great central location for County Durham, & can recommend a trip to Locomotive, just a mile down the road.
Would stay here again without hesitation if we come up that way again.
Fabulous quirky house! Very clean, comfortable beds. Little additions of bottled water on bed side tables and fresh milk in fridge was a good unexpected touch!
Very clean tidy house, it had everything I needed including a washing machine.
On arrival the key was easy to access,
How nice, I was greeted with a packet of biscuits on the kitchen worktop near the kettle. Obviously left by the host, thank you :-)
Parking was easily available and the area was very quiet.
