Location. Lovely view down to the sea. Easy check in. Spotless. Well equipped. The most comfortable bed I have ever slept in (I stay in c.20 different hotels p.a.). The owners helped move our luggage to the next place (we are hiking John O'Groats Trail and needed help due to blistering feet). I'd go back just to enjoy the best bed ever!!!

Hazel gave us a very Highland welcome, very friendly, helpfull, knowledgable and tea biscuits and home made scones and cakes with jam, a full welcome pack. Everything was very convenient and nothing was a bother, recommend highly, first class. Great holiday and felt very welcome. We have rented in the Highlands and Islands many a time and Granny's was at the top of a very impressive list, thank you Hazel for a great holiday.

We had a fantastic stay at Rose Cottage - it couldn't have been more comfortable! The owners came round when we arrived to ensure we had everything we needed (and left us a sweet welcome pack on our arrival), and they're closeby in case of any issues. The gas cannister needed changing towards the end of our week in the cottage, and within a few minutes of calling them, it was done! Brilliant. There are so many positives about staying here: the space in the cottage, the comfort, the peace and quiet, the lovely walk down to the shore to view the old smokehouse, it's a true "getaway-from-it-all" place. There is a bench in the suntrap garden, on which we ate and drank in the sun almost every evening. The location is also excellent - half an hour from Wick and the nearest Lidl, Tesco, and an hour from Brora, Dunrobin Castle, John O'Groats... We'd all be very happy to stay here again.
