EVERYTHING! It was so pretty; the decor was a really nice, pretty mixture of traditional and contemporary design. The lounge and bedrooms exuded comfort and homeliness. A real home from home feel. The facilities were also excellent. The Gîte had everything you could possibly need for a great stay in a self catering property…even down to a salad spinner! There was plenty of local information for attractions and things to do in the region, a great selection of books & DVDs, WiFi. There is a lovely epicerie/bar in the village where we would buy our baguettes, groceries, and sometimes go for a drink. A perfect base to explore the beautiful Charente region. We’ll be back!

Home from home feel about this beautiful Gîte. Cosy, with all self catering facilities you need provided. Lovely welcome gift on arrival, which was a nice surprise. Comfortable bed in a large bedroom, designated private parking in the grounds was a real bonus, the large gardens were well maintained, we loved having our own private bbq area and outdoor dining table on the terrace over looking the garden. We enjoyed having an afternoon snooze on the sun loungers. It’s in a peaceful village, with a grocery shop & bar, which we bought our baguettes from on a morning. A short drive took us to a large medieval town with lots of restaurants, shops & a beautiful river. The hosts were perfect, friendly, happy to help with all our questions, and advised us on things to do & see, along with the info in the Gîte folder. We wish we had stayed for longer. We will be booking again and look forward to returning. 10/10.

Our hosts Lisa and Rob were so welcoming! If we could give it 11 out of 10 we would! It is a beautiful, charming and incredibly comfortable gite with everything you need at your fingertips. It has been so tastefully decorated with much thought and care. There is a beautiful lake and pool not far from the gite, ideal for family days out. It was truly exeptional. From making the booking Jan was most helpful, communicative and met us on arrival to show us around. lovely treats on arrival, thank you. the house was impeccable, so clean and tidy, fabulously stocked with kitchen crockery etc, super bathroom with a lovely hot powerful shower. crisp white linens and soft white towels. quiet location although very vocal frogs on the river which was a pleasure to hear so much wildlife. lovely to have morning coffee in the garden over looking the vienne. it suited our needs for visiting family in the area. we will certainly stay again if it’s available on our next trip.
