The entry to Domme is through an imposing medieval portic. Good restaurants in the city. Francine's guest house at Domme is perfectly placed to explore all the attractions in the Golden Triangle of the Périgord. At the same time it is close, but not in the buzz at Sarlat la Caneda. The towns of Beynac and Cazenac, Castelnaud-la-Chapelle, Cénac-et-Saint Julien, La Roque-Gageac, Vézac and Vitrac are worth exploring + 11 castles not far away. The guest house is quiet, no noises, and has a well equipped kitchen. The town of Domme has a belvedere where we can have amazing views from the river Dordogne, 150 metres below. I post a few pictures only. I could post many more from Domme and the region. But, I do not want to spoil other traveller's discovery of the region. As the region is hilly, many scenic views are granted for those that drive their cars outside the beaten track.

Holiday house in a quiet location close to Domme and many other Dordogne destinations. Shutters on windows made bedrooms nice and dark for sleeping. Well equipped kitchen with small central dining table plus larger dining table in adjacent open-plan living area. The bathroom, laundry and toilet were on ground floor, as well as a bedroom with a double bed. A further bedroom with a double bed and a larger bedroom with single beds were upstairs. The upstairs bedrooms became warm during the heat of the day, but the ground floor bedroom remained cool. Only one of the upper bedrooms had a fan. Excellent wi-fi. Welcoming bottle of wine was appreciated. Very nice manager who met us at arrival and departure.

the location was exceptional! The ancient city fortress wall is the edge of the garden, with unobstructed views of the hills beyond. It is very quiet with no tourist traffic, yet just a few minutes walk to the village center. The cottage has a well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, a large dining area, a sitting area looking on to the garden. There is a washer and dryer in the garage that was not communicated to us initially, nor mentioned in the listing. I give this an A-, only due to dates furnishings and subpar wine glasses.
