Do not go to Tenerife. There are simply too many tourists and the locals behave accordingly. They are nice, but utterly disorganized for the huge volume of tourism they have to handle. We had to wait for more than an hour to rent a car at the airport. The communication with the agency that handles the apartment was awkward. They just have too many properties to take care of. Otherwise, the apartment was fine. You have everything you need for a short stay. Abades is a sleepy little village, but it has a grocery store and a few restaurants and bars, all within walking distance.

All amenities provided, came to my rescue when I used the washing machine incorrectly. Even took me to the airport. Couldn't ask for nicer people or a cleaner place. Jacuzzi also a major plus. Highly recommended.

Just what we wanted. Abades had enough to keep us fed watered and entertained (some bars, restaurants, a supermarket) whilst being quiet enough for us to relax at night with young family. Casa Vista Al Mar unsurprisingly has a great location looking out to sea , with facilities in tip top condition. Beach a 5 min walk away.. Ticked all our boxes :)
