There was nobody at the reception, but we were sent an access code for the main entrance and very clear instructions how to get into our room.

We had a lovely stay at Cale guest house. Great location to explore Porto. The family room was large, plenty of space to store luggage. Super king bed and 2 singles for the children, all very comfortable and plenty of pillows:-). Relatively quiet for its central location. Breakfast was lovely with plenty of variety. Host very helpful and we enjoyed the port on arrival. Would definitely recommend staying here.

The building is a pretty charming construction and the room was quite spacious and very clean and quiet. Excellent communication with hosts, it is not very central but quite close to the city centre (walking distance)

Great apartment, good space for 2 people to stay. Super clean, quiet and comfortable. Great location to be in walking distance to a lot of the sights in the historic centre of Porto. Susana was a great host as well, explained the whole layout of the city to us, have a bunch of recommendations of what to see, where to eat etc. and left us with a map with all the locations circled on it. Would recommend and absolutely stay again :)
We loved pretty much everything, city center is a short 20min walk on way down, maybe a tiny bit more on the way back, but metro station is next if prefered. Our flat was extremely clean, decorated with taste, great bathroom and comfy bed! It was quiet (we were on the last floor) we absolutely loved it. Great host Rafaela took the time to send us some tips where to eat. Totally recommend the place, there is a full kitchen if you want to eat there.

We loved everything about this guesthouse. The owner and personnel are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The breakfast is amazing with fresh fruits and freshly baked cakes every day. And the patio garden is perfect for chilling. It is located in a quiet neighborhood with lots of good restaurants and a 10 minute walk from the city center. Oh and WiFi is faster than at home :)
