Oamaru
At the guest house, some units have a private entrance, dining area, fireplace and fridge. The units include a kettle and a private bathroom with a shower and a hair dryer, while selected rooms also offer a fully equipped kitchenette fitted with a toaster. The house was incredible, old and gorgeous. Our host, Donna Marie, was friendly and full of information. We appreciated being able to stroll to the beac and the city center.
Owaka
Catlins Retreat B & B is situated in Owaka. Featuring garden and quiet street views, this guest house also includes free WiFi. Featuring a private entrance, the guest house allows guests to maintain their privacy. The home is warm and welcoming, with many amenities to support a comfortable stay: from extra heaters and blankets to plentiful mugs and dishes for tea or breakfast. The room is also spacious. Finally the host was available and helpful throughout our stay. We could walk to dinner in Owaka, which was an added bonus.

The historic building is newly and beautifully renovated and has lots of charm. The location is centrally located close to the universities and plenty of restaurants. Breakfast buffet was very good.

The gardens, the cleanliness , everything.

Clean hostel for its age. Great location as it was literally in town. Right by Harbour Street, a charming area with Victorian inspired buildings. Gave the vibe of being transported to another timeline.
Dan and Mitzi are great hosts and managed to build an amazing and wonderful Bed and Breakfast. The room was cozy and comfortable, the shared area with a fireplace made the evening special and super relaxing. Breakfast is delicious and has a couple of varieties, so that everyone should be able to find something. The location is quiet, offers options for nice walks and is just a few minutes drive away from Queenstown. We really enjoyed our stay, thanks!
