The unit is immaculately kept, very comfortable, and the hospitality was great. Home baked goodies, freshly squeezed orange juice from the orchard, and very generous hosts. Plus, a really gorgeous part of the country which is truly worth visiting! Although this site says there's no Wifi, in actual fact, there is. It can be a bit intermittent at times, but it's a small price to pay for the beauty of this location on the Whanganui River.

It is located in National Park Village, 25 km from Mount Ruapehu. Free private parking is available on site. I liked that the kitchen was stocked with all the pots, pans, plates and cutlery needed. The staff also worked especially hard to keep it clean, which was great, because it gets used a lot. The kitchen was big enough for several groups to be preparing and cooking food at once.
