It is run by Sudeka and his family who are from the area. Great attention has been paid to every little detail and it is the simplicity that makes the place so special. We came for the safari and it was close enough to the park so getting there was not an issue. I look forward to returning and doing the Tuk Tuk safari that they offer of the birds and crocs! It’s a great time to support small businesses in Sri Lanka!

The rooms are new, clean, cozy and they have AC. The bathrooms are large and sparly clean. The family that owns the place are very friendly and helpful. The food they prepare is delicious. The lobby offers a generous space to relax and work. You can even enjoy the sight of crocodiles swimming or sunbathing in the river from the terrace above. I can’t recommend this place enough! All units are equipped with a safety deposit box, while selected rooms are fitted with a balcony and others also offer quiet street views. At the guest house, all units include bed linen and towels. Stayed there a couple weeks back Positives - spotless amazing bedroom with all the facilities - amazing friendly host who gave us Cocunut water on arrival as promised in other reviews - GET THE FOOD THERE....it was a feast and was absolutely delicious great value sri lanken food. - great location near the fruit bat trees. - Definitely book the safari with these guys. Asanka was an amazing and caring guide who really seemed to have all the know of where everything was. We saw 28 elephants and two leopards and many more thanks to this guy. 10/10 for the day No negatives. Its not a social place really, but was perfect for us at the time. Just positives for these guys.

Rooms are clean with all the needed equipment and AC. But the most important is that she organized us the best safari ! We had a very experienced guide and drivers who allowed us to see the rarest animals. Mithila is available, reactive, effective and super friendly. We recommand at 10000%

At Heaven in Satinwoods all rooms include a seating area. Dumee and his staff are absolutely incredible and make your stay unique! It's the best accommodation I've ever had. When I arrived, they welcomed me with a flower necklace and a fresh juice. The whole crew went kayaking with me to a beautiful lagoon (for only 1000 lkr) and they also took me to my surfing lessons by motorbike. My room and balcony were really big and they cleaned them and decorated my room with flowers every day! Breakfast and dinner were always a lovingly garnished three-course menu and they also let me help them cooking :) Additionally, they made juices, tea and coffee in the afternoonfor me for free! I'll definitely come back to this amazing place

One of the Closest hotels to the Goyambokka Beach, They have best staff ever. especially Lal, and Sarfaraz Great food at their restaurant. We had some of our best food in all of Sri Lanka in this hotel. Would stay here again.

Priyanka was a wonderful host. After arriving from a hot afternoon safari I was greeted with a cold towel and a fresh coconut. The room is large, clean and has a/c. The dinner and breakfast prepared by his wife was delicious. It was great value. Overall a fantastic one night stay. I highly recommended this guest house.

Bundala Bird Sanctuary is 26 km from the guest house, while Situlpawwa is 39 km from the property. I really loved the location, it had an excellent view of the lake and it is a great family run business. We had dinner at the cabana and it was delicious.
