The room was big and very comfortable. The breakfast was exceptional and HUGE. The setting is pretty right on the river. There were monitor lizards swimming in the river while we ate breakfast. The staff were lovely and helpful. Would stay again.

We arrived very early in the morning (1:30 AM) and The Bamboo Tree sent us a driver who patiently waited TWO hours for us to deal with a lost baggage nightmare. We felt awful but the hotel owners were very calm and understanding. The ride to the hotel was only 15 minutes from the airport and the driver was professional. The room was very clean and comfortable and the owner let us sleep in before serving a big, delicious breakfast on our porch overlooking a beautiful courtyard. We were well taken care of by both the staff and the owners and will definitely be returning for another early morning flight out!

Overall good value for the money 👍🏻

Car hire and free use of bicycles are available at this guest house and the area is popular for cycling. Denis and his wife were amazing! He picked me up in the airport and made a delicious breakfast! I am glad I stayed there after a long time in the plane

It's comforting to have a healthy and delicious breakfast in the green. They offer free bikes to get around town and also offer inexpensive airport transfers. If you are coming to Negombo and you are tired of the sameness of luxury hotels, I highly recommend you to come here and experience it
