The place is a very chilled family atmosphere run by the host, Billie, who was a top guy and looks out for his guests. He'll sort out anything you need and runs safaris every other day. Unfortunately we didn't get to do one with him which was a regret.

The location is perfect: close to the beach and the main road but not directly on the main road which makes it a lot more quiet. The rooms were nice and clean and the AC worked very well. Only 2 bathrooms but one was always free since the hostel wasn’t that big and the bathrooms are clean as well. Staff is really nice and the outside area is beautiful and perfect to chill and meet people. It is a bit misleading on Booking.com but there is NO BREAKFAST available.
Amazing location next to a beach. Loved resting in a hammock with an ocean view. Everything is clean and nice. Murali cooks really good. His food was very tasty. Uncle Sella and Murali were very helpful and great hosts. In two months we are coming back!
Lagoon view is beautiful; lots of nature viewing opportunity, including a crocodile resting on the other side of the water! Nadjim a great host.
Calm, peaceful but still very social atmosphere. Great hostel run by a lovely team. The facilities are consistently kept clean which I appreciated. The location was in a quiet area, but still walking distance to the Arugam bay main area. They also provided bicycles which was awesome.
Great host, great location, great place! The property itself was perfect, right on main break for very good location. Mo the host was very friendly and was always making sure we was okay and new how to get about etc… if this is your first time in Arugam bay this will be a perfect starting spot! Thank you Mo. 😎

Alan is a great host at Eastwind. The location is great, being close to the surf breaks but being set back from the main road so it was quiet. There is a great outside area where you can sit and watch the monkeys and relax.
