Really spacious, modern flat with an excellent kitchen. There’s also a lending library with a good selection of local guidebooks, etc. Quiet, rural location—just the cows for neighbours!

Stacey is an amazing host, she made sure everything was perfect. I cannot rate Castaway Guesthouse highly enough and I look forward to returning again next time I visit the Orkneys

This guest house features free private parking, a 24-hour front desk and free WiFi. The guest house has family rooms. The location was good. The food was excellent. The rooms were comfortable. There was a lounge with games, sofas, and a large TV, but we were too busy to take advantage of it. Eric, the host, was very friendly and accommodating. He got us everything we asked for. The water was very soft, so only a small amount of soap or shampoo was needed. It didn't feel like we were intruding in someone's home. It felt more like a mini hotel with a fair amount of privacy for coming and going. Also, we had a ground floor room where we didn't have to drag suitcases up, which is hard being older adults. The stay was very enjoyable.

Everything that is necessary is inside the room. The breakfast is fresh and good. We come back again there on the 19th of August.

Everything : great host, great cottage, great location
Beautiful house, clean, comfortable, well appointed and warm. Great location. The hot tub was fantastic. Sarah was a great host.
Offroad parking. Wifi. Great hosts. Lovely views. Peaceful. Well equipped. Great location. Slept like a log.
Charming and helpful hosts. A very clean and quiet house and a very nice guest room. Its only a short walk into town and the ferry. A nice breakfast. Easy parking. It would be nice to go again.
As soon as we got there it was obvious the hosts take pride in their bed and breakfast, the whole accommodation was clean and tidy. The hosts were incredibly generous and cheerful. It is a little bit out of town but if you don't mind a 25 minute walk (if you want a couple drinks with dinner), it is well worth it for the lovely stay, quiet surroundings and lovely views.
Location was just outside of town, about a 30-minute walk from the centre or a quick trip by bus from the nearby bus stop. Laura and Brian were charming hosts, friendly and full of advice but unintrusive. My single room was quiet, tastefully decorated, and had a very comfortable bed with quality linens. There was a good choice of usually cold foods for breakfast, but one day Laura made delicious banana pancakes. The property was very clean. The best British B&B I’ve ever stayed in. I hope one day to return.

Room was excellent, comfortable and very clean. Breakfast was great all served quickly by very friendly staff. We had Dinner on one evening and again great quality delicious food. Karen and Garath were great hosts and The Ferry Inn can be highly recommended.. Great location for exploring Orkney
Great location, private parking, clean and comfortable, wifi, Netflix, attentive and thoughtful host, good amenities. Great check in and check out times. Quiet, nice view and good layout for the flat.
