It was more than we ever expected … gorgeous property & accomodation . Very comfortable . A quiet retreat if you want to just relax & reflect . Close to Edinburgh ( 20 minute train ride ) for a day trip from Glenarch House . Would recommend the train to Waverley station in Edinburgh .
It’s a self catering property , so will need to work out meals for yourselves . Morrisons ( a supermarket) is relatively close for grocery shopping .

Carolyn was such a great host. Told us about good restaurants to eat at. The guesthouse is so nice and our room was large with a walking wardrobe and tea making facilities. It’s a quiet place and you are 8 miles from city, but the buses were great and we had such a lovely time at Aaron Glen, I will definitely by recommending this place to my friends. Thank you.
Attention to detail and the quality and quantity of the equipment, furniture and fittings. Our host took care to ensure our stay went smoothly, and left some essentials in the kitchen for us. It was a warm, quiet and comfortable nest for our stay. The flat is closer to the city centre than it looks, but with the help of a good map, we quickly found the Old Town is easily reached through Holyrood, and Princes Street via Regent Road -both routes have cheap, frequent bus services.
We received a warm welcome from host and staff. great apartment, everything you need is there. great location: quiet, walking distance to city center.
Warm cosy homely guest house with real character. Our room was spacious & clean with very comfy beds. Exceptionally quiet considering the busy road it is situated on. Direct bus link to the City Centre in both directions. Fantastic welcoming hosts & a friendly Tom to greet you

Great location, so quiet. House is wonderful couldnt want any more from a stay away. Great host met on arrival, knowledgeable of area and recommended a few places. The area is beautiful, so much to see and do not so far away and great walks locally. Don’t book anywhere else if wanting to stay in this area.
Th e host was friendly and welcomed us.She explained where the bus stop was and how to gain access to the house and room.When we had a problem with the shower not draining on the first night the hosts came quickly and sorted the problem.They also replaced a bedside lamp which had an insecure bulb.There were tea making facilities in the room.The wifi was quite good.There was a good choice of cereals,yoghurt and fresh fruit.There was a bus stop opposite the guesthouse to get to the city centre.
The guest house is in perfect quiet location, which is few minutes walk from city centre and Holyrood park. There is also a bus station nearby, which takes you to the city center instantly. The room was very cozy and clean and Richard was very kind host. Also the breakfasts, for which you could choose from various options, were delicious! In overal very pleasant experience and would definetely recommend.
