We went on a lovely trek that the host suggested, with beautiful views of the Pyrenees. I wish we had more time there!

An old stone farmhouse set just outside the Eyne Nature Reserve, Gite Cal Pai sits in a suspended garden 1.5 km from Eyne ski resort. Panoramic views and a living room with fireplace and dining area are at guests’ disposal. Welcoming host; very good location for a tired walker just off the mountains. Delicious local beer. The supper exceeded my expectations by a long way - it was a real treat to have beautifully prepared and presented food. The view from my room in the presbytery gîte was good. Eyne is a lovely place.

It’s charm. This is located in a very quiet village which suited us perfectly. We had a marvelous view of the snow capped mountains and our host was very helpful and accommodating.

We really admire what Mikel and Doro are doing with their ECO plus animal friendly and beautiful guest accommodation. We are not vegan or even vegetarian, but all four of us agreed that the food on offer was absolutely delicious. Close to the ski slopes. Everything was great and comfortable in a beautiful woodland setting, the rooms were comfortable and well equipped and nothing was too much trouble for our hosts. They will and deserve to achieve much success with their guest house venture.

A gorgeous little village only 5 minutes away from a town that has everything you need..cafes shopping etc. and only 2 .5 hours from Barcelona. Anna our hostess is charming and took great care to see we had all we needed. Our room was a great size and the bed was comfy. The view over to the mountains was stunning. Anna took great care of us and we would recommend Cal Mateu to anyone ...we loved it!!
The host was very friendly and helpful. The accomodation is very very clean, quite new, and well arranged. Our room was completely quiet, and with a fantastic view of the mountain - looked at the sunrise as the first rays hit the tops of the mountain across the valley. Great for walking and wandering - they also allow dogs. Although breakfast was very good, I had a 'need' for poached eggs and the host was delighted to let me prepare them!! I lay in bed and took the attached photo of the sunrise.
A true boutique hotel, everything was clearly thought through. The design, the rooms, the view, the breakfast, the service - really no lowpoints at all! Very central location, but still very quiet. Book the rooms with mountain view - amazing!
