It is not really in centre,but is a very peaceful location which I prefer.

Located in Pingyao Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Lao Cheng Gen Hostel is a 10-minute walk from Xianya, the former county government. It offers free bicycle rentals and free shuttle services to Pingyao Railway Station, a 5-minute drive away. All rooms come with traditional Chinese Kang bed. Absolutely stunning front yard, very helpfull staff, good location. Amazing value for the price. :)

Featuring a shower, bathroom also comes with a hairdryer and free toiletries. The owners are extremely friendly and they speak English fantastically. The hotel itself looks like out of a movie, its inner courtyard s were beautiful. My room with a huge Kang bed was just incredible; I also liked the touch with the many plants in the room. I would definitely stay here again.
