The larger private terrace is three times the size of the room. The images don't do it justice. Great to sit outside and enjoy a meal. They have modest but sufficient silverware and plates to eat in. They provided us with free coffee you make. Good tasting water and the shower has high pressure. We bought groceries and ate in one night in our three night stay. Great view while eating at a table they had outside. We bought pastry from a nearby bakery and also some fresh fruit from a nearby fruit stand for breakfast. Three restaurants are within walking distance of five to ten minutes. We went to two of them. I went on a three mile round trip hike that the host suggested from the doorsteps of the property. The hosts were very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Just ask.

The Americana’s simply furnished rooms come with private or shared bathrooms. Some have a balcony. The location was perfect, 1 minute from a bus that takes you to lugano center or ten minutes from the train station. Giuvana the host was SO nice and helpful. She explained us everything about averything. And even when we went for a day trip to Milan she gave us her umbrella just in case. I really recommend this place if you are planning to be around lugano because the price is fair, the room is big and the location is perfect.
