Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
This is a lovely homey feel place. We had a room upstairs with a deck where we could watch the river and street activity, which was great. Our room had everything in it we needed, with some lovely local touches, and they tidied it each day.
Bic is a wonderful host and gave us all information we asked for.. it's a very short walk to the markets and town, yet is quiet.
It's such a great area to explore, doing day trips on a motorbike, absolutely beautiful.
Nice quiet location, good home-cooking, house is nicely appointed, host is very pleasant and speaks good english. Our ground floor room was spacious and cool. Close to the king’s palace (currently being renovated).
Trung and his family were great hosts. We really enjoyed our stay and especially talking with Trung about the local area. He also helped us with making the most of our visit. His mom was particularly sweet and caring.
We were in the family room, which was beautifully done and super accommodating (two full bathrooms!).
Firstly, we had a great host to look after us. Luc Quoc anh cuong was the nicest host that we had all holiday. And he even is a good cook. And we left behind some earphones. He was so kind to send them all the way to us in sapa (including updates via text) - thank you!!
The accommodation was great. Clean. Comfiest bed ever. Pool was nice.
The timber cabin I stayed in was designed by Huy, the owner, and is a beautiful and calming space.
The setting is also very peaceful, on the edge of central Bac Ha.
Huy is a great host, very warm and helpful. I would highly recommend his property.
The host and their family's kindness, the accommodation, and the pool were all great. The location is very good, just a 15-minute walk from the city center with the possibility to rent a scooter. It was really perfect. Thank you.
The host is the best! He organised everything for our stay (hiking 3 days with 1 night in another homestay, market in Moto taxi, bus to go back to Lao Cai) the breakfast and dinner was super good.
Room very confortable and beautiful view. Quiet and very relaxing stay.
Clean. Quiet location near market, beautiful balcony w hill and river view. generous breakfast. Host organised bus pickup from door to Sapa.
