Great place to stay with very friendly owners. The place has a large garden and good wifi, so very convenient to work from. Also, the location is quite good, and the village center is within walking distance. The owners are hospital and very friendly. The breakfast was great with fresh fruits, a crepe, coffee, fruit juice, toasted bread, and guacamole. Good value for money and next time, I'll book this place again.

    The location is quite nice, close to the lake but it’s about 7km to the city and 5km to Rubavu Beach. Therefore it’s a quiet area but good for relaxing. The lodge itself is nicely built and has nice views to the lake. It is not lakefront though. The food at the restaurant was very good and the staff is friendly.

    Colibri Taverne is a budget guesthouse located within walking distance (with a small bag or backpack) of the Rwanda/DRC border and the new Gisenyi bus station. The town's best lakeside restaurants are just a short mototaxi ride away. The owner is an excellent host and the rooms are clean and well-maintained. If you're a budget traveler or backpacker, this is your place. I highly recommend this listing.

    Incredibly friendly and courteous staff. The location is spectacular and at the same time very quiet. You are a good bit outside of Gisenyi. The view of Lake Kivu is great. The food was very delicious and always freshly prepared. There are also fresh fruit and the associated fresh fruit juices.

    Spacious room, good wifi and the breakfast is amazing (fresh fruits, fresh juice, coffee or tea, omelette, pancake) and served in a beautiful garden. We left a charger and a book accidentally at the guesthouse and Francois arranged for it to be sent with matatus (shared taxis) to our next destination, which was very kind.

    Simple but very welcoming guesthouse. The location is excellent, Colibri Guesthouse is quiet and the garden is fantastic! The rooms are spacious and clean, and the mattresses are very comfortable. The breakfast is delicious! The owner and staff are very kind and helpful. Internet works well everywhere. Excellent value for money.

    Great location, right next to Lake Kivu in a relatively quiet part of Gisenyi. Lots of activities happening on the lake during the day time. Spacious room and comfortable beds. Rooftop Bar great to relax, eat, drink and enjoy the views.
