The location was great and easy to find. The staff / owner were lovely and super helpful. Bed was very comfortable and the decor was delightful. The breakfast was to die for if you like mini crossiants, both chocolate and plain, but also a good selection of other thing. I would 100% recommend anyone to stay here.

They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
We were met by Tiago, who then showed us round the property. He could not have been more helpful. Property is very nicely done and only a few doors away from the hosts, which is handy, Great location: quiet but only a short walk to the town centre, with plenty of eating places etc. to choose from.
First of all the hosts are fantastic, Teresa and Janice are so great and helpful, we immediately felt at home
The breakfast was amazing and tasty, we mentioned we're vegetarian
the room was exceptionally clean
the guesthouse is not located in the old city Obidos but it gives you a quiet stay in the village area.
we recommend to have a car, or take a taxi to the touristic area, it's only 4 min+- by car.
we got great recommendations from the hosts for everything we asked.
we had a lovely time at Casa das palmas
Great location - very quiet, a short drive to the main highway, and very close to Óbidos and the (amazing!) Buddha Eden Garden.
Convenient parking area just outside the door, a very nice breakfast, and most importantly - the hospitality! Rogerio and Nazare are amazing, very welcoming hosts who made us feel at home!
Absolutely charming guesthouse right at an entrance gate to the walled town. The home is steeped in history and the host is absolutely lovely. The breakfast they offer was absolutely the best breakfast we had on our two week trip. The homemade natas and lemon curd made from lemons on the grounds really speak to the care and love the owners put into the guest experience. We lived Obidos and our stay here.
The guesthouse was charmingly decorated and very comfortable, the staff were welcoming and helpful, and the location - in the old city walls - was perfect. Breakfast was presented in a lovely breakfast room with traditional table settings and china and included everything we could want - yogurt, fresh bread and buns, very good coffee, fresh fruit, cereals, cheeses and sliced ham. Very quiet, we slept well and woke each morning to a beautiful view of the city ramparts.
loved the house It was very special in a great location. Rafael was a great host, nothing too much trouble Helped us driving in and saved a space for our car. Also gave us useful information about the town
What a charming house in Obidos! It’s one of the few houses that are still in their original form from when they were built. The hosts have kept as much of the original decor as possible. We had such a wonderful stay with the great hosts. The location is amazing and the breakfast was great. Would definitely stay there again.
Authentic charm of the place. Great location within medieval town walls. Great host, Rafael was a friendly and professional host with many recommendations. Generous welcome amenities so no breakfast shopping required. Highly recommended.
