The hotel itself is wonderful, the rooms are spacious and modern, and the lounge area is fabulous. We didn't have a chance to utilise the outdoor swimming pool due to rain, but we had a direct view to it from our room and it looked impeccable.
The area is calm and green and allows for nice walks in nature and with a quick 5 minutes drive, you'll be in the heart of the Obidos Vila.
Situated in the charming medieval town of Óbidos, this graceful and recently-renovated 4-star hotel allows guests immediate experiences of Portugal's historic charm.

Amazing location inside the castle within the walls - staying overnight was magical as in the evening and mornings you have the old town to yourself. Our room was small but comfortable
Well located in the Obidos Medieval Town district of Óbidos, Casa Lidador - Obidos is located 200 metres from Obidos Castle, 39 km from Monastery of Alcobaca and 26 km from Peniche Fortress.

Everything was great.
Everything was great. The owners were very welcoming offering us a glass of sherry upon arrival and generously offering us extra food (fruit and crackers) to take when we were leaving. Very nice people.

Sam and Rich could not have been more welcoming.
Sam and Rich could not have been more welcoming.
They did so much to insure our comfort, from stocking the refrigerator to providing an electric mattress pad (sheer bliss!). The bed and pillows were very comfortable and cozy. It is a lovely property with a beautiful view. We would not hesitate to stay there again or recommended to anyone.

I wasn't there long enough to do as much exploring as I would have liked. The castle was very interesting wandering in and around there. If I had more time I would have liked to explore more of the town.

We went to see the Christmas lights.
We went to see the Christmas lights. The main street is beautiful. Also went to Vila de Natal. If you don't have children with you not really worth the price. Because we spent 2 night we had a day to walk around the outside of the walls also.

We were really looking forward to staying in the castle but...
We were really looking forward to staying in the castle but the room we booked was actually in a building attached to the castle. We were not at all happy with our room which disappointed us but the town inside the walls of the castle was fun to walk around. The restaurant at the hotel was very good with great service. If we were to visit again, which we won't, we would avoid room 002 as it is a bit like a dungeon being the lowest room in the hotel.
Real castle feeling with all the trimmings. Up and down stairs, through passages and rooms complete with suits of armor and period paintings. Other guests congregate in the common spaces allowing shared experiences and recommendations. Breakfast was wonderful. Bedrooms are a little cramped, but clean and comfortable and it's a step back in time with all that goes wi t h it. Torre de Mandy's is a fun place to stay and he owner is very welcoming if you want that medieval feel while you visit Obidos, stay here.
Wonderful space, perfect in every way. Excellently equipped, and the aircon and dehumidifier were really effective, so it was super comfortable. The location is ideal - just 2 mins from Porta da Vila, and 1 road back from the main street. Despite that, it was absolutely peaceful. There is free parking just outside the town wall, but it is not signposted - the entrance is next to Caixa Geral de Depósitos, N8, 2510-089 Óbidos, Portugal.
Amazing location, right by the main street and main townwall entrance. We could see the castlewalls from our window.
The hotel itself is cute, rustic, it has a beautiful flair and is well kept. The owner/manager was extremely friendly and helpful and we felt very welcome.
Honestly I'd love to live in that cute place and if I come back to Obidos this is where I'll stay.
Beautifully renovated apartment with a stupendous view of the castle, particularly at night. Our host was really kind and generous. He left some fruit, bread and other goodies for us. The apartment is minutes away from the castle and nice restaurants. Parking availability is a plus. We highly recommend this place to any travelers staying in Óbidos.
Amazing property. we had the room with a loft and terrace access. the room was super clean and a quick easy walk to the wall entrance. our view from the terrace was exceptional looking at the lit up castle walls at night and a beautiful small chapel right next door literally 40’ away. The best place we have stayed in Portugal.
The breakfast was delicious, the location, right under the Obidos Castle was perfect, the room and all the many perfectly protected rooms of the hotel were delightful. We loved the outdoors patio, the many quaint living rooms and the wine cellar that had not been touched for decades. We felt so welcome there.
we liked the location of the hotel, a couple of minutes walk to the gate of the castle/historic area. the terrace was a very beautiful place to sit and relax and enjoy the amazing views all around. owner and staff were very friendly and welcoming. the place is nice and cozy. bed was comfortable.
We loved the room, as it was very spacious, comfortable and aesthetically looking. The staff was amazing! Everyone was helpful and friendly. There was a lot of available parking space and the hotel’s location is just perfect. It’s close to the Óbidos castle, many shops and restaurants.
Everything was perfect! From friendly host to cozy and cute house. Every room was very clean, it had everything we needed and bars were very comfortable. Location is also nice, near Óbidos and neighborhood was quiet. It was definitely the best accommodation we had in Portugal!
Everything was great, the lovely room with the garden, gorgeous plum tree and wonderful view, the location near the castle wall and the super kind host Joao, who gave us lots of information about Obidos, the history of his home, which is a small castle and lots more.
This is a great hotel, and excellent value for money. Our en-suite room was spacious, with own balcony. Big and confortable bed everything is new and clean. Plenty of parking outside.
Less than 10 minutes walk to the centre of Obidos and two supermarkets.
Location was great, right in the centre of Obidos a few steps from the castle.
House is very unique, with a beautiful terrace/garden overlooking the village..
We left a bag behind and the owner gratefully left it for us at a station nearby (thanks again!)
This is a great location. We only spent one night but I think that's all anyone needs in Obidos. The building is charming. Breakfast was really good but there are no gluten-free options. I don't really expect that in Portugal though.
The hotel is within walking distance to grocery stores and the Obidos castle. My room was clean with excellent views. The food at the restaurant downstairs was excellent.
The location was excellent! Very close to the main Óbidos streets where all the shops and restaurants are located! Very friendly staff! Also the room was spacious.
Really fun to stay in between the medieval walls of the city, close to the castle.
Love the offered tea and the space provided to drink it. Was a charming place.
