Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
The room was spacious and a lot cheaper compared to other hotels nearby Senja. There were options to late check-in which worked easily with a quick phonecall. Late check-out was also a plus.
The accommodation was clean ,well equipped and had a scenic view. The hosts were responsive to our enquiries and provided a map and input for our tour of Senja Island.

Comfortable clean room in the main old building on the ground floor. Very quiet and well equipped for a short stay. Combination microwave/grill and decent sized small fridge, crockery and cutlery. Nice outside space and a gas BBQ and gear available. Didn’t see any staff, keyless entry to main building and room.
Excellent quiet location with easy road access to Finnsnes and Senja.
Host left note that Internet was on a fixed, monthly tariff which he renewed every month. If previous tenants had used up the 'allowance' for the month, the service would revert to a slower basic service. We were there for the last week of the month, but did not experience any problems or slowdown of the service. The antics of the resident squirrel population were something else ............ and we did our best to give them appropriate treats.
Great view from the sea-house both from inside and from the terrace. We enjoyed watching the ships passing by. The panorama of the mountains on Senja is wonderful. Several supermarkets nearby within a few minutes walk. City center and a few restaurants are close by. Good base for trips to Senja. Clean rooms.
