If you're traveling alone and looking for that special something, this is it. I felt like I had a hone away from home. I wish I stayed longer and ate more of the best food ever. I felt like my Japanese got a lot better, and im pretty bad at it. This was the adventure I was really looking for and I miss being here. I can't wait to come visit again

Wonderful hostel with friendly and helpful staff. The entire place was extremely well-maintained, beautifully decorated and clean. The futon was very comfortable and the location quiet, so I was able to sleep well. Convenient location and good atmosphere. The view of Kumamoto castle at night from the top was very beautiful. I would like to stay here again the next time I visit Kumamoto and will recommend it to friends and family.

I had a wonderful stay at this guesthouse. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the breakfast provided was delicious. Hiromi was incredibly kind and even prepared tea for me in the tea room, which was the best I've ever had in Japan.

Nobu and Haru were amazing host they made us feel at home. We had the whole place to ourselves so it was a great stay. The location is easily accessible by bus but we have had a car and there is free parking on site.

Warm and friendly towards every guests. Unlike other hostels, as long as you take the initiative, you get to know more about the locals staying in Kumamoto here through their frequent gatherings over the dinner time and they always welcome you. They even organised a takoyaki party for me and taught me how to cook it. Also inviting to join the bamboo shoot harvest! What a real experience that I appreciate so much! Highly recommended! Thanks!
