Everything was perfect. The kitchen is well equipped. The common area and the room are very pleasant! My sister and I had our own room with two beds. We shared the bathroom with 2 other women, which was no problem at all! We will definitely recommend this accommodation to others. Host Keiko-san is not only super efficient but also incredibly warm and kind, making sure we are safe and helping with where we need to go/do. I relish their scrumptious curry and quail eggs. You can savor free meals whenever you want when hotel's restaurant is open. The hotel is situated near Kokura Rear Station (North exit), so it's more quiet. Compared to riotous south side, I go for north side. About my room, it was a bit small, whereas it was okay. Staffs are well-trained. They resolved my problem in no time. Anyway... At this price, staying at Quintessa Hotel Kokura gives good bang for your buck.
The location was good. There is a train station nearby, main leisure, nightlife and food street is 7 min away. Kokura castle is about 12 min away.
There is an elevator, because the guesthouse is on the 4th and 5th floor.
In the room there are lockers and my 40L backpack could fit inside it.
In the kitchen there is a drinking water refill.
I loved the location! Tobata is such a nice neigbourhood. Not touristy at all, you get a real insight into japnese life. Especially with the hosts and the facitilties. The family was sooo nice and help with everything immediately. The hospitality was exeptional!!!
